Carolina Alfonso approaches each web development project with care and dedication.
Carolina began her tech career in 2020 by completing courses in programming and digital marketing at Potrero Digital. Potrero Digital is a program organized by FundaciĆ³n Compromiso that helps businesses identify, train, and retain top tech talent in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Interestingly, I found Potrero Digital through Judith Aidoo, a worldly executive, philanthropist, and entrepreneur with strong ties to Charleston, SC. Judith hosts a monthly virtual meetup called Soul Safari- where “generous achievers” from around the world take an introspective journey towards their best selves. There, I connected with Carolina Briquard, CEO of FundaciĆ³n Compromiso because of our shared interests in using technology to positively transform lives.
Carolina won a scholarship to attend Code Camp by The Red Sunflower as part of a collaboration with Potrero Digital.
At Code Camp, Carolina built a website for La Chica Del CV– a service that helps others transition into remote technology roles. After completing Code Camp in 2022, Carolina was hired for paid assignments and established herself by working on Client projects. Carolina is a native Spanish speaker who is also fluent in English.
Even when faced with tasks that are difficult or unclear Carolina is careful, persistent, and full of enthusiasm.
Carolina is an extremely valuable member of The Red Sunflower team. Her perspective improves the quality of every project she is involved in and I can’t wait to see what she makes next!
